When an import fails or looks wrong

Most failures are one of three things: wrong file type (Android Backup AB vs. SMS Backup XML), a partial download (incomplete Gmail Takeout), or a timezone mismatch. The Import log names the failing line and the fix. Re-importing is safe — messages are keyed by source-id and timestamp, so duplicates dedupe automatically.
