Filed with the court, or given to the other side?

Given to the other side, not filed. Only a certificate of compliance is filed, and the court gets a copy only when it is offered at trial or a conference.

The rule in full, with its sourcesExactly what we confirmed, with the rule each part comes from.
What it uses
One Rule 8.05 financial statement in a standard form (Form 1, published as Exhibit A) and a detailed alternative (Form 2, published as Exhibit B) used by agreement or court order.
Which form, when
Form 1 by default in every domestic case with economic or property issues unless excused or waived; Form 2 instead by agreement of the parties, on motion and order, or on the court's own motion (UCCR 8.05(A)-(B)). No income cutoff.
Filed or exchanged
Exchanged, not filed: each party provides the statement to the other party or counsel and immediately files only a Certificate of Compliance (UCCR 8.05(A), (C)); a copy goes to the court only when offered at trial or a conference (8.05(I)).

This is general information, not legal advice. Forms change, so check with the court before you file.
